Welcome to Still Photography, I have been fascinated with photography since an early age, when I was given my grandmothers old kodak 110mm camera. True, it didn’t capture the high quality images that i can create now, but then i suppose my focus was a little different then as well. I started experimenting with higher quality gear through high school and converted to digital about five years ago. While there will always be something romantic to me about film, I must admit that digital offers some more creative possibilities for me. My style tends towards a photojournalistic approach with some artistic intervention on my part when i am looking for something specific. For the most part however, my aim is not to make a photo, but to capture a moment, to be a silent observer who is fortunate enough to capture a shared experience.
I live in Guelph, Ontario with my beautiful wife, Kerri and my son Holt, who has become accustomed to being the focus of many impromptu photo sessions. In my spare time I enjoy many outdoor sports, especially golf and downhill skiing. I am an avid cook, and love to spend time with family and friends in the kitchen, I have even taken a few chef classes, although, I reserve that term for people far more culinarily talented than myself. I love photography, and look forward to being part of your special moments!
